8th accused of gold theft arrested

Toronto. Police have arrested the 8th accused in the biggest gold theft case in the history of Canada. Police caught Arsalan Chaudhary from Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday. He had reached Toronto by flying from Dubai. Police said that gold worth more than Rs 180 crore was stolen from Toronto Airport in 2023. Another accused in this case has also been claimed to be in India. According to police, Arsalan Chaudhary has been charged with theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime and criminal conspiracy. Investigative agencies say that this arrest is an important part of the investigation going on at the international level under the name of Project 24K.
