Today, on the occasion of Bhai Dooj, the doors of Kedarnath Dham were closed for the next six months at around 8:30 am. Thousands of devotees also had darshan of Baba. At the same time, the doors of Yamunotri Dham will be closed for winter at 12:30 pm today.
Now Baba Kedar will be worshiped for 6 months at the winter seat of Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath. After the closing of the doors, the mobile cart of Lord Shiva will leave for the winter seat of Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath. On the first day of the journey, i.e. today, Doli will rest for the night in Rampur. After this it will reach Guptkashi on 24th October. On the third day, on 25th October, the doli will reach its winter resting place Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath. Here, arrangements for worship and darshan of Baba Kedar will be made for the entire 6 months.
