A massive fire broke out in a double decker bus filled with 70 passengers, which was going from Delhi to UP.

New Delhi: A double-decker bus carrying 70 passengers from Delhi to Gonda, Uttar Pradesh burst into flames on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway. The bus caught fire due to tire burst and immediately the entire bus started burning. The fortunate thing was that all the passengers were taken out safely before they caught fire. This incident happened before the Agra Expressway toll plaza in Kakori police station area. As soon as the information was received, fire brigade teams reached the spot and controlled the fire.

It is worth noting that earlier, 20 people, including a bike rider, had died in a bus fire in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Before that, this month, many passengers had lost their lives when a moving bus caught fire in Jabalpur, Rajasthan.

The accident in the bus happened just before the Agra Expressway toll plaza under Kakori police station area at 5 am. According to the primary investigation report, the accident was caused by burst tire of a moving bus. Within no time it spread throughout the car. The driver and passengers took immediate action and pulled out the remaining people.

Eyewitnesses said that the bus burst into flames within minutes and thick smoke spread across the expressway. Firefighters and local police reached the spot and brought the fire under control. There is no news of any injury or casualty. Officials are investigating the cause of the fire on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway.
