Thane: A shocking incident has come to light from Kapurbawdi area of Thane. Here a 17 year old minor boy set his female friend on fire. In this incident, the girl has suffered 80 percent burns and her condition is said to be very serious. Actually, the incident happened on October 24, the girl was alone in her house, when suddenly smoke started rising from the house. People nearby immediately informed the family about this. When the family reached, they saw that the girl was burning in the fire and at the same time her friend was also present inside the house.
Police investigation revealed that a dispute was going on between the two for some days. A few days ago, there was a fight between the two in Chembur area, in which the boy threatened the girl that he would not leave her alive. According to the police, at the time of the incident, the accused boy reached the girl’s house and poured inflammable substance on it and set it on fire. Even when the girl started screaming and pleading for help, the accused remained standing there. He did not try to save her.
The girl was first taken to the government hospital in Thane, from where in view of her serious condition, she was referred to KEM Hospital in Mumbai. Doctors told that 80 percent of the girl’s body has been burnt and she is still not out of danger. Kapoorbawdi police took immediate action and took the accused minor into custody. Police have registered a case against him under sections 109 and 351(2) of the Indian Penal Code. The officer said that this attack was carried out due to an earlier quarrel and anger.
