Rafale joined the Air Force in 2020
Rafale fighter aircraft joined the Indian Air Force in September 2020. It is made by the French company Dassault Aviation. Actually, Ambala airbase is the main center of Rafale squadron ‘Golden Arrows’. Therefore such stations are given priority. These aircraft had proved their strength by carrying out precise attacks on terrorist targets during the recent ‘Operation Sindoor’. Deputy Commissioner Ajay Singh Tomar said that the President reached Ambala Air Force Station Cantonment via air route in Delhi on Wednesday morning. For their safety, a ban has been imposed on flying drones in the area around the Air Force station. Apart from this, no one has been given permission to carry a mobile phone inside the Air Force station. Only those authorized persons will be allowed to enter the station.
26 new Rafale marine jets approved
The President flew at a time when the deal for 26 Rafale Marine Jets for the Navy between India and France has been approved. This deal of fighter jet happened after getting the approval of the Cabinet Committee on Security headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The 26 fighters will include 22 single-seater and 4 twin-seater trainer jets.
