Business: Battery manufacturer Exide Industries said on Thursday that the Income Tax Department is surveying its offices and manufacturing units. Exide said it is cooperating with authorities and the move has had no significant impact on its business operations. “At present, there is no material impact on the business operations of the company due to the above action. If there is any further material change, the same would require reporting under SEBI Listing Regulations,” the company said. The company has said that if this happens, necessary disclosures will be made as per regulatory provisions.
