
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached his parliamentary constituency Varanasi (Banaras) on Friday evening on a two-day visit. When the Prime Minister reached Babatpur Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport at five in the evening after holding an election rally in Bhabua, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and administrative officials welcomed him. After this he left for Bareka Guest House by road. During this road show, PM Modi was welcomed at many places. At the same time, PM Modi will flag off the Varanasi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express train from Banaras Railway Station on Saturday morning. He will virtually dedicate Lucknow-Saharanpur, Firozpur-Delhi and Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat trains to the public service from his parliamentary constituency.
Party workers welcomed at various places
After reaching Varanasi (Banaras), the Prime Minister left for the guest house at BLW by road. During this, his convoy reached Bareka from Babatpur via Harhua, Gilat Bazaar, JP Mehta, Phulwaria flyover. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers and officials including local people welcomed him at many places on the way. During PM Modi’s convoy, high security was seen on both sides of the road, which was seen managing the traffic along with the local people.
Slogans raised of Modi-Modi and Har-Har Mahadev
The enthusiasm of the people of Varanasi i.e. Kashi to welcome Modi was palpable. Children, youth and elders welcomed the PM’s convoy with slogans of Modi-Modi and Har-Har Mahadev. Cultural programs were organized at various places and flowers were showered on his convoy. It is said that while going from the airport to Bareka, flowers were showered at various places on the Prime Minister’s convoy. During this time the entire route was decorated with lights of saffron and tricolor colours. Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Mohit Aggarwal said that security arrangements have been made on a large scale for the Prime Minister’s visit.
Will flag off 4 new Vande Bharat trains
Prime Minister Modi will gift 4 new Vande Bharat Express trains to the country from Varanasi on November 8. The most prominent train among these will be Varanasi to Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express, which is considered to be an excellent service for the people of Kashi and Purvanchal. Apart from this, the Prime Minister will also flag off three other Vande Bharat Express trains through video conferencing. These include Lucknow to Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express, Firozpur to Delhi Vande Bharat Express, Ernakulam to Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express. The Prime Minister can also interact with the dignitaries present at Banaras station on this occasion.
Time will be saved by two hours and 40 minutes compared to special trains.
It is being told that the operation of Banaraskhajuraho Vande Bharat Express will give a new dimension to religious and cultural tourism. This train will connect religious and cultural places like Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot and Khajuraho. The new Vande Bharat Express train will save about two hours and 40 minutes of time compared to the currently running special trains. This will give passengers a fast, comfortable and modern travel experience. Also, this train will provide easy access to the devotees and tourists to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Khajuraho, which will give a new dimension and economic impetus to the tourism industry.
