Iranian human civilization older than India: Research

London . Till now India was considered one of the oldest civilizations in the world, whereas according to this report, the credit for the beginning of human civilization has now been given to Iran. The latest report of World Population Assessment has added a new twist to the study of history. The study states that Iran, known as Persia in ancient times, has been the oldest center of human settlements. Evidence of human life has been found here which is more than one lakh years old, which indicates that the roots of civilization first flourished in this area. The report said that Iran’s history is linked to the Elamite civilization, which began around 2700 BC. This civilization is considered to be one of the earliest organized settlements in human history, where people first started group living, farming and trading activities. Archaeologists have found evidence of many ancient cities, pottery, scripts and religious remains during excavations here. These discoveries make it clear that Iran was not only the initial center of human settlement, but it also laid the foundation of society’s organization and culture.
According to the study, humans were living in different parts of Iran since one lakh years ago. This conclusion is based on the analysis of fossils and stone tools that have been found in archaeological excavations there. India, known for its antiquity and cultural diversity for centuries, is ranked seventh in the list. The report states that organized settlements in the Indian subcontinent developed around 2000 BC, when the Indus Valley Civilization was at its peak. Urban cultures like Harappa and Mohenjodaro made India one of the most advanced civilizations of that era. The study also shows that China also developed in almost the same period as India and both the countries played an important role in the development of human society.
This report of World Population Assessment is based on the study of historical, archaeological and population data. In this, those areas were analyzed where humans first started living in permanent groups and laid the foundation of civilization. Although India still holds a special place for its knowledge tradition, cultural continuity and spiritual heritage, this report has made it clear that Iran’s name comes first in the story of the beginning of human civilization.
