This information was given in the report that when the woman went, it was for a regular checkup, but this checkup was no less than a shock for the doctors. They could not believe that what they saw in the report was true. When the woman was subjected to a routine ultrasound examination, the doctors saw a mind-boggling sight. Neither a normal pregnancy, nor twins, nor triplets, but nine fetuses were seen simultaneously in the woman’s womb. It is not a common occurrence that so many children are found growing in human wombs. This news has sparked discussion in the entire medical community.
The doctors checked the woman and were stunned as soon as the number of fetuses was revealed in the ultrasound. Not only this, the woman’s parents also did not believe it. In fact, this case is so rare that many doctors described it as the most unusual incident of their career. Gynecologist Wael Al-Banno said that this is one of the rarest cases found in medical science. He said that with the help of modern medical techniques, the number of fetuses can be reduced, so that there is less risk to the mother’s health and the development of the remaining fetuses can be improved. Experts say that this situation may be due to the uncontrolled use of medicines that excessively stimulate the ovaries. Such pregnancy is considered extremely risky for both mother and child. Sometimes hyperovulation occurs in a woman’s body, that is, many eggs are released in a single menstrual cycle. This often happens due to the effect of some treatment or medicines. These medications may cause the release of up to 10–20 eggs, resulting in multiple embryos. As a treatment, selective fetus reduction i.e. removal of some fetuses is done so that safe delivery can take place.
