Dr. Shaheen Shahid (aged around 40) is a former medical lecturer, who taught at Integral University, Lucknow. Shaheen is accused of being the commander of the Indian branch of the women’s wing (women’s organization) of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and used to recruit women into it. Shaheen is accused of working on the instructions of Sadia, sister of JeM chief Masood Azhar. Arrested by Jammu and Kashmir Police and UP ATS from Faridabad on 11 November 2025. Police have said that AK-47 rifle was recovered from his car.
Shaheen is said to be having an alleged love affair with Dr. Muzammil Ahmed Ganai. Muzammil is a Kashmiri doctor who was a professor at Al-Falah University in Faridabad and a key member of the white collar module of JeM. It is alleged that he used to plan suicide attacks and met handlers during his trip to Türkiye. Muzammil was arrested on 10 November 2025.
