DRDO launches ‘Gaurav’, will accurately attack enemy targets!

DRDO Glide Bomb: India is continuously trying to increase its military powers. DRDO has successfully test-fired air-launched long-range glide bomb ‘Gaurav’ from Su-30MKI fighter aircraft of Indian Air Force. ‘Gaurav’ is a 1,000 kg glide bomb, which is capable of carrying out precise strikes on enemy targets from a distance without putting the aircraft at risk.

The test of ‘Gaurav’ has proved that India is now preparing all those technologies on its own, which earlier used to be available only to a few selected countries. ‘Gaurav’ can glide for long distances after being released in the air. It is capable of accurately hitting the designated target.

India is no longer dependent on foreign companies

India was mostly dependent on foreign companies for fighter jets, due to which the projects of indigenous fighter aircraft like Tejas Mk2 and AMCA were also delayed. But now both the government and DRDO are insisting on developing the engine in India. Due to which successful tests of bombs, missiles, radar, air defense systems, electronic warfare keep happening every day.

2 types of crafted weapons

DRDO has developed ‘Gaurav’ weapon in two forms. The first version is Gaurav-PCB, which is expert in penetrating ground bunkers. The second version is Gaurav-PF, which will be used to focus on open targets, military deployment or strategic targets. It will be successful in causing damage to many parts simultaneously.

‘Gaurav’ weapon is of 1000 kg

The weight of ‘Gaurav’ is 1 thousand kg, which due to its heavy weight and high destruction capability, it is very effective in destroying bunkers, fortified bases and enemy positions present in hilly areas. Defense experts believe that the successful test of ‘Gaurav’ is a symbol of India’s changing military strategy.
