Chandigarh: A big update has come out in the case of CRSU Jind professor suspended. According to information received from Chandigarh, three professors have been suspended at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (CRSU), Jind, Haryana, on charges of sending objectionable WhatsApp messages to girl students. This serious matter came to light when the university received an anonymous complaint letter on November 27, alleging that some professors were trying to sexually exploit girl students by sending inappropriate messages.
As soon as the complaint was received, the university administration took immediate action, formed an inquiry committee and issued instructions to the accused professors—who are said to be guest faculty—to stay at home. Later, on the basis of investigation, all three were relieved from duty and formally suspended. After the action of suspending CRSU Jind professor, there was satisfaction among the students, because protests were held in the university a few days ago regarding this matter.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Rampal Rana said that student safety is the top priority and if any complaint is received, strict action is taken without delay. He made it clear that if the allegations are found true in the investigation, then legal action will be taken by registering a police case. The matter became more serious after the alleged WhatsApp chat went viral on social media, due to which the university administration took a strict stand.
At present the investigation is going on and the administration says that the culprits will not be spared under any circumstances. The move to suspend CRSU Jind professor reflects the university’s strict policy and its commitment towards student safety.
