Severe cold in Punjab-Haryana

Chandigarh. Faridkot in Punjab was the coldest place in the state, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 2.6 degrees Celsius. This information has been given in the data of the Meteorological Department. According to the data received from the local meteorological centre, many places in Punjab and Haryana are experiencing severe cold. The minimum temperature was recorded at 3.5 degrees Celsius in Gurugram, Haryana.
Among other places in the state which were hit by cold, the minimum temperature was recorded at four degrees Celsius in Hisar, 5.6 degrees Celsius in Karnal, 5.3 degrees Celsius in Narnaul, six degrees Celsius in Rohtak while the minimum temperature in Sirsa was 6.4 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, Chandigarh, the joint capital of both the states, also had a cold night and the temperature was recorded at 5.4 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, Bathinda, Punjab is experiencing severe cold. The minimum temperature here was recorded at four degrees Celsius. In Punjab, the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.3 degrees Celsius in Amritsar, 5.4 degrees in Ludhiana, five degrees in Patiala while the minimum temperature in Firozpur was 5.2 degrees Celsius.
