Accident occurred due to cylinder blast
A blast took place in a night club located in Arpora village of North Goa. The cause of this accident is being said to be explosion in the cylinder. According to the reports till date, a fire broke out late Saturday night at the venue Birch by Romeo Lane, located about 25 km from Panaji, the capital of Goa. This night club was opened only in 2024.

PM Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the accident. Posting on social media site X, the Prime Minister wrote that the incident of fire in Arpora, Goa is very sad. ‘Strict action will be taken against the accused’
Goa CM Pramod Sawant said that this incident is very bad for a tourism state like Goa, people who run such things illegally and the fire incident happened. He further said that 23 people lost their lives. The government will investigate this incident. The investigation will find out the exact cause of the fire and those found responsible will take strict action under the law.

The fire has been brought under control – DGP
According to news agency PTI, Goa DGP Alok Kumar told about the accident that at around 12.04 in the night, the police control room received information about the fire. Police and fire brigade personnel immediately reached the spot. After controlling the fire, all the bodies have been recovered. He also told that the fire started in the kitchen area of ​​the ground floor.
