With the construction of four new bridges, the movement of army and tourists will be smooth and safe: Kangana

Shimla. BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, while appreciating the continuous development work being done by the Central Government for Himachal Pradesh, said that the Center has always worked to strengthen the infrastructure keeping in mind the geographical challenges of Himachal. He said that the roads of Himachal Pradesh are the lifeline of the state and the work done by the Central Government in the field of road and bridge construction will prove to be a strong foundation for the progress of the state in the coming years.
Kangana thanked the Central Government and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on the virtual inauguration of four important projects constructed by Project Deepak of the Border Roads Organization on the Manali-Leh strategic road. He said that with these projects, the movement of heavy army vehicles and tourists will become easier, smoother and safer than before. He said that these projects have been constructed by BRO at a cost of about Rs 18 crore, which include 70 meter long Shogtong Bridge, two multi-cell box bridges at Jingjingbar and 60 meter long Yunam Bridge at Keeling Sarai. All the bridges have been built with state-of-the-art technology so that movement of heavy vehicles is possible in all weather conditions.
According to media reports, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had inaugurated 125 projects across the country from Leh on Sunday and dedicated them to the country. The construction of these bridges will provide great relief from the problems of avalanche zones, overflowing drains and unpaved roads that have been going on for years on the Manali-Leh road. Whereas earlier army convoys and common travelers had to pass through risky routes, now travel will become more safe and reliable through the new bridges. MP Kangana said that these projects will not only strengthen the country’s security from a strategic point of view, but will also give a massive boost to tourism. Expressing his gratitude to PM Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh for their continuous support for the development of Himachal, he said that under the strong leadership of the Central Government, the state is moving on the path of continuous progress.
