An FIR has been registered against a man in Vile Parle area, who is accused of stealing jewelery worth Rs 10 lakh from a woman by making her fear black magic on her family. According to the police, the accused won the trust of the woman by pretending to be a worshiper and then carried out this act of cheating.
According to Vile Parle police, accused Ramchandra Sutar claimed to the woman that someone had done black magic on his family. He said that this problem can be solved by special puja. In the month of October, he came to the woman’s house and collected a huge amount from her in the name of puja. Initially the woman did not have any kind of doubt.
Police said that during the next visit, the accused asked the woman to keep all her gold jewelery in a steel container. The accused assured that by doing this his and his family’s fortunes would improve. Besides, instructions were also given that the container should not be opened until he himself asks. The woman believed his words.
After some time, when the woman needed jewelery for a wedding in the family and opened the container, she was stunned. The container was completely empty. After this the woman immediately lodged a complaint with the police.
Police have registered an FIR in the Mumbai black magic fraud case and have started searching for the accused. Officials have appealed to people not to fall prey to superstition and be cautious of anyone who cheats in the name of black magic or miracles.
