Severe cold in Delhi, UP, Haryana and Punjab

New Delhi. There is no respite from the bone-chilling cold and fog before the New Year. It is extremely cold these days from the mountains to the plains. People are also facing the brunt of fog. The outbreak of cold and fog continues across the country. The people of Delhi, UP, Haryana and Punjab are not going to get respite from cold and fog. The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning of very dense fog and cold wave for many states including North India.
The fog will continue to haunt us further. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of dense fog for Sunday, December 28. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense to very dense fog at some places in Assam and Meghalaya, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh till the morning of December 28. There is a possibility of dense fog at some places in Uttarakhand, Bihar, East Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu region, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.
According to the India Meteorological Department, cold may continue in UP, Bihar and Uttarakhand till December 30. At the same time, cold wave may occur in Jharkhand and some parts of Jharkhand on 27 and 28 December.
