One carelessness of yours can take your life…a small mistake of the bus driver and a painful end for 4 people

Mumbai: A painful road accident took place in Bhandup area on Monday night, which shocked the entire city. Bhandup bus accident happened on Station Road near Bhandup West Railway Station at around 10:05 pm on December 29. According to initial information, a BEST bus, while taking reverse, collided with the pedestrians present there and crushed many people.

Four people have died in the accident, including three women and one man, while nine others are said to be seriously injured. There was chaos in the area immediately after the incident. As soon as information about the accident was received, the fire brigade control room was alerted, after which relief and rescue operations were started rapidly.

Teams of Mumbai Fire Brigade, local police, BEST employees and 108 ambulances reached the spot. The injured were admitted to nearby hospitals through ambulances after first aid. The police surrounded the spot and controlled the situation and also managed the traffic system.

DCP Hemraj Singh Rajput said that he had received information about a serious bus accident. According to him, the accident occurred near Bhandup West Railway Station at around 9:35 pm on Monday night, in which a total of 13 pedestrians were injured. He confirmed that four people have lost their lives in this accident.

At present, police and other concerned agencies are engaged in the investigation of Bhandup bus accident. Efforts are being made to find out whether the accident occurred due to negligence of the bus driver or technical fault. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the area due to the accident and the local people are deeply shocked by this incident. The detailed investigation report is awaited.
