
New year Celebration Advisory: Like every year, people have started preparing for the celebration of New Year in all the cities including the capital Delhi. Preparations are underway to welcome the New Year with great pomp. The police have also tightened security and traffic arrangements in view of the fear of increasing crowd. In most of the cities, the police have issued advisories to the people and have also banned the movement of public vehicles in crowded areas. Delhi Metro has also informed that the exit gate of Rajiv Chowk metro station near Connaught Place will be closed after 9 pm. 31st December is the day for which people eagerly wait to welcome the new year with great pomp and show. But on this day, maximum number of accidents are reported in the country, hence the police has already come on active mode. Police say that in the New Year happiness, no one’s carelessness will be allowed to cost the lives of others. Along with this, notices have been issued to all pubs, clubs, bars, hotel operators and restaurants and strict instructions have been given. The police also said that it will be the responsibility of the operators to safely transport the drug addicts.
Special arrangements in Noida
Two days before the New Year celebrations, all the police forces including Gautam Buddha Nagar have become fully prepared. The police administration has made strict security arrangements to prevent any untoward incident and to maintain law and order. Most of the attention is being kept on those who are driving under the influence of alcohol. More than 2,000 policemen have been deployed in Gautam Buddha Nagar alone for the New Year.
More than 5400 policemen are ready in Gurugram
Gurugram Police has deployed more than 5,400 policemen to ensure that people do not face any problem during New Year celebrations. Along with this, the police issued an advisory saying that under Section 168 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS), notices have been issued to all pubs, bars, clubs, restaurants and hotel operators directing them not to allow any intoxicated person to drive. So that any untoward incident can be prevented. Apart from heavy police force, tight security arrangements have been made in Gurugram including counter-attack squads equipped with protective equipment, motorcycle-riding police personnel, PCR, cranes, fire and ambulance teams.
