There will be severe cold in North India and rain in the South.

New Delhi. In North India, the weather is constantly changing between severe cold and cold wave. It is freezing cold due to snowfall and fog in the mountains. The Meteorological Department had issued a warning of increasing cold on Sunday. Now according to the latest report, there is a possibility of heavy rain for the next 4 days. The Meteorological Department said that due to the cyclonic circulation forming in the Bay of Bengal, there may be heavy rains till January 9. Weather experts have appealed to everyone to exercise caution.
The Meteorological Department said that the temperature has dropped in Tamil Nadu in recent days. According to the local meteorological department, light rain was recorded in some parts of the state. According to data collected till 8.30 am, Nalumukku in Tirunelveli district received 5 cm rainfall, the highest in the state.
Due to the cyclonic circulation formed in the South Bay of Bengal, there is a possibility of intermittent light rain over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal in the coming days. Along with the rain, the night temperature will also drop.
According to meteorologists, the main cause of rain is the prevailing atmospheric system over the surrounding seas. A low level atmospheric trough over the south-eastern Arabian Sea and an active cyclonic circulation in the upper air over the south-eastern Bay of Bengal are creating rain conditions.
The Meteorological Department has warned that the minimum temperature in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal may fall by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius by January 7. Several districts have already received heavy rainfall due to the cyclonic system and north-east monsoon, leading to waterlogging in urban areas, flooding in low-lying areas and crop damage in southern districts.
