There is dense fog in many districts of these states, due to which schools up to class 8 have been closed. School timings have also changed. 20 flights and 100 trains are running late in UP. Visibility is zero in Jaipur today, due to which 8 flights are delayed.
The 10-year record of January cold has been broken in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The temperature here on Tuesday was 3.8 degrees. The temperature in Chhindwara was 2 degrees on Wednesday. Dew settled in Damoh, Guna, Morena. The cold has once again increased due to light snowfall in the higher reaches of Kashmir. A warning of heavy snowfall has been issued for the next 15 days. The mercury reached minus 9 degrees in Uttarakhand, water has frozen in the pipelines here.

The dew drops accumulated on the nets around the fields and houses were seen shining like pearls in the morning, indicating the severe cold of the night. The problems of the elderly, children and animals and birds have increased due to the continuous cold. In rural areas, people are protecting themselves from the cold by lighting bonfires. Meteorologists say that there is little possibility of getting relief from cold and fog in the morning and evening for the coming few days.
