CPC delegation reached BJP headquarters for the first time after Galwan

Galwan ValleyA delegation of the Communist Party of China reached the BJP headquarters on Monday. This was the first time after the bloody conflict in Galwan Valley in 2020, when a delegation of China’s only political party reached India for talks with the ruling party. The Chinese delegation was led by Sun Haiyan, vice minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China. Vijay Chauthaiwale, in-charge of BJP’s foreign affairs department, gave the information about the Chinese delegation reaching the BJP office along with him. He told that there was a discussion with the Chinese Communist Party delegation about how the dialogue can be increased. During this, BJP General Secretary Arun Singh led the talks with the Chinese Communist Party. Chinese Ambassador to India Xu Feihong was also present in this meeting. Arun Singh has also given information about this meeting on X. He wrote, ‘Today a delegation of the Chinese Communist Party came to the BJP office under the leadership of Sun Haiyan. During this meeting we discussed how the dialogue between BJP and CPC can be increased. Historically, a formal dialogue between the BJP and the Communist Party of China has continued since 2000. However, this process has been interrupted from time to time. Especially after six years of the tension that arose between the two countries after the Galwan clash, such a formal meeting has taken place. It is believed that relations between the two countries have eased after October 2024. When PM Narendra Modi met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Kazan, Russia. After this meeting, both the countries have also reduced the army in Ladakh. Apart from this, dialogue has also started at the diplomatic level. In fact, there has been a dilemma in Indian politics regarding dialogue with Beijing. Congress and BJP have been blaming each other regarding this.
