According to the information, the victim (who is the mother of a minor girl) had lodged an FIR against the narrator Shravan Das Ji Maharaj in the Mahila Police Station of Darbhanga. The victim alleges that Maharaj lured her for marriage and had continuous physical relations with her for the last one year. During this time, when she became pregnant, the accused also got her aborted on the pretext of marriage.

There was a stir in the area after the video surfaced. However, accused Shravan Das Ji Maharaj later termed this marriage as a complete lie and refused to accept the woman as his wife. On the complaint of the victim, case number 182/25 was registered in Mahila police station. Seeing the seriousness of the case and the evidence, the police took immediate action and took the famous storyteller into custody. According to Mahila Thana Police, the accused is being interrogated and the medical examination of the victim and other legal procedures are being completed.
