He has also seriously accused the BJP of distorting history and said that the country’s heritage, culture and constitution are under continuous attack.

Why is there no national holiday on Netaji’s birth anniversary?
Mamata Banerjee raised the question why the birth anniversary of a great freedom fighter like Netaji has not been declared a national holiday yet. Election Commission targeted on voter list amendment
Mamata Banerjee also attacked the Election Commission regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. He said that if Netaji was alive today, perhaps he too would have been asked to prove his citizenship. He sarcastically said, “If Subhash Chandra Bose were alive today, he too would have been called for the SIR hearing and asked whether you are an Indian or not.” Mamata also alleged that more than 110 people have died during the process, for which the Election Commission and the central government should take responsibility.
Demand to make public files related to Netaji

He wrote on social media that his government had long ago made available to the public all the files present in the state archives. She said, “Unfortunately, the mystery of what happened to Netaji after 1945 has not been solved till date. It is a matter of sadness for the entire country. I again appeal to the Central Government to make all the files related to Netaji public.” However, this speech of Mamata Banerjee is being considered as a big political message before the upcoming assembly elections. Keeping Netaji’s legacy, Bengal’s identity and Constitution at the center, he has directly attacked BJP, due to which the politics of the state has become more heated.
