Pakistan was devastated by the action of Air Force, had appealed for ceasefire… big revelation in the report

New Delhi. Pakistani terrorists had killed 26 innocent civilians in the attack in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir, in response to which Indian forces (Army, Air Force, Navy) jointly launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ against Pakistan. On which now the foreign think tank has made a big disclosure in its report. The report described how during the military action the Indian Army completely destroyed Pakistan’s air defense system. Due to which Pakistan requested for ceasefire only after 4 days of conflict.

What did the CHPM report say?
A report by the Switzerland-based Center for Military History and Perspective Studies (CHPM) said that by the morning of May 10, 2025, the Indian Air Force (IAF) had achieved air superiority over important parts of Pakistani airspace. This allowed long-range precision strikes against enemy targets. Due to which Pakistan came to its knees and the enemy’s morale was shattered within a moment.

The most detailed independent analysis on ‘Operation Vermillion’
In a new CHPM report, military historian Adrian Fontanellaz has conducted the most detailed independent analysis to date of the India-Pakistan air war between May 7 and 10, 2025. The report authored by Fontanellaz shows that India’s ability to pursue remote strikes depends largely on the availability of advanced munitions such as BrahMos and Scalp-EG cruise missiles.

Pakistani Air Force came to its knees
In contrast, the Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) ability to repeat the complex air operations successfully executed on 7 May gradually diminished. According to the report, this happened because advance air surveillance radars were destroyed and India’s S-400 air defense systems were posing an increasing threat to the Pakistani Air Force’s Airborne Systems (AWAC) and Standoff Strike Platform. Because the Pakistani attacks carried out between 7 and 10 May were foiled to a great extent by the Indian defense systems.

Perfect aim and destroy everything
The CHPM report said that on May 7, one of two Indian attack units consisting of Rafale or Mirage 2000I fighter aircraft entered Pakistani airspace at very low altitude and then suddenly rose up and dropped precision bombs. The planes continued to attack with bombs until they fell on the target. Here on the morning of 7th May, Pakistani artillery started firing near the Line of Control, in response to which India immediately retaliated. The same night, the Pakistani Air Force launched a massive offensive using more than 300 drones, JF-17 fighter planes and CM-400AKG missiles.

Military and civilian targets were targeted
The drone strikes targeted forward posts, command headquarters, logistics centers and airports of the Indian Army, and also attempted to activate Indian air defense radars to gather electronic intelligence. Pakistani Army used Songar armed drone, Yiha-III (Turkish made) suicide drone and carried out attacks on military and civilian targets.

PAK failed to penetrate Indian air defense
Despite the enormity of the attack, the report said Pakistan failed to penetrate Indian air defences. Most of the incoming ammunition was intercepted. India immediately retaliated after discovering preparations for another Pakistani attack on 9 May. Between 2:00 am and 5:00 am on 10 May, the Indian Air Force, using Su-30MKI, Jaguar and Rafale aircraft, fired BrahMos, SCALP-EG and Rampage missiles from within Indian airspace.

Pakistan’s airports targeted
Seven targets located up to 200 kilometers inside Pakistan were struck, including surface-to-air missile batteries and five air bases. The command and control center at Noor Khan air base near Islamabad was damaged, while drone hangars and control facilities at Murid air base, home of Pakistan’s MALE drone fleet, were targeted. Rahim Yar Khan, Rafiqui and Sukkur airports were also targeted, the report said.
