New Delhi: The effect of bad weather in Delhi-NCR and dense fog in many states is clearly visible on rail traffic. Due to low visibility, many long distance trains coming towards the capital Delhi are running late, due to which passengers are facing problems. Dozens of trains are arriving late at Hazrat Nizamuddin, New Delhi, Anand Vihar and Old Delhi railway stations.
Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station Among the trains which were delayed by more than an hour, train number 22917 Mumbai Bandra Terminus – Haridwar Superfast Express was delayed by about 1 hour 56 minutes. 14309 Ujjain Express was running late by about 1 hour 5 minutes. 2221 Mumbai Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express is late by about 1 hour, 12627 Karnataka Superfast Express coming from South India is late by 2 hours 38 minutes, while 12189 Mahakaushal Express is late by about 2 hours 44 minutes. 1249 Goa Sampark Kranti Express is running late by about 2 hours 5 minutes and 18477 Kalinga Utkal Express is running late by about 3 hours 13 minutes.
New Delhi Railway Station But the situation is still worrying. Train No. 12951 Mumbai Central–New Delhi Rajdhani Express is late by about 1 hour. 12559 Sivagangaa Superfast Express is running late by 1 hour 38 minutes. 14727 Sriganganagar–Tilak Bridge Express is late by 2 hours 2 minutes. 11841 Geeta Jayanti Express is running late by about 2 hours 50 minutes. Here too, 12627 Karnataka Superfast Express was delayed by 2 hours 40 minutes, while 20801 Magadh Express was late by 1 hour 25 minutes.
Anand Vihar Railway Station But 13257 Jansadharan Express is running late by about 1 hour. At the same time, 12915 Ashram Express is late by about 1 hour at Old Delhi Railway Station. 14049 Godda-Delhi Express is running late by 2 hours 16 minutes, while 14088 Ruchira Express is said to be late by about 1 hour.
According to Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway, dense fog and low visibility is affecting the speed of train operations. Passengers have been appealed to check the latest status of the train before leaving for the station, so that unnecessary waiting can be avoided.
