Weather of Bihar changed due to snowfall in hilly areas, rain in Bagaha-Buxar, alert in 5 districts

Patna. The effect of snowfall in the hilly areas is now clearly visible on the weather of Bihar. The weather has taken a sudden turn in many districts of the state. At some places heavy rain and at other places drizzle and fog have increased the feeling of cold. According to the Meteorological Department, cold may increase again in Bihar in the coming days.
Bagaha in West Champaran district recorded heavy rain on Wednesday, while Buxar received light drizzle. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain today in a total of 5 districts including East Champaran. Supaul and Samastipur remained cloudy throughout the day, due to which a drop in temperature was recorded.
In the morning, dense fog was seen in about 10 districts of the state including Aurangabad, Bettiah, Supaul. The Meteorological Center has issued an alert regarding fog in many districts of Bihar from January 29. The districts on alert include West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Vaishali, Patna and Begusarai. According to the Meteorological Department, this foggy condition may persist for the next 2 to 3 days. However, as the day progresses, there is a possibility of the fog gradually clearing and sunshine emerging, which may bring some relief in the day temperature. Despite this, the effect of cold will be felt more in the morning and evening.
Meteorologists say that the main reason for the fluctuations in weather in Bihar at this time is western disturbance. This Western Disturbance, active from North-West India, is bringing moisture with it, the effect of which is especially being seen in the northern and western districts of Bihar. Due to this, the movement of clouds has increased and rainy conditions have arisen in some areas.
Due to the effect of western disturbance, the night temperature is falling. At the same time, due to increase in humidity in the air, the cold is more piercing in the morning and evening. The Meteorological Department has advised people to exercise caution in view of fog and cold, especially those traveling in the morning need to be alert. Overall, due to snowfall in the mountains and the effect of western disturbance, the weather pattern in Bihar has changed and cold and fog are likely to continue for the next few days.
