Uttarakhand’s daughter Swarnika won gold medal in horse riding, showed her talent in Delhi NCC PM rally

Berinag: Swarnika Rathore of Berinag in Pithoragarh district has won the horse riding competition of NCC’s National Annual Republic Day Camp held in New Delhi. In this competition, Swarnika Rathore has won three medals including 1 gold. This is the second consecutive time that Swarnika has brought glory to Uttarakhand by winning gold.

In fact, Senior Under Officer Swarnika Rathore led NCC cadets from across the country in the ‘Annual NCC PM Rally 2026’ in New Delhi for the second consecutive year. A total of 2,361 NCC cadets participated in the Republic Day camp. In which 917 girl students participated. Swarnika led them. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh were also present in the program.

Swarnika is a senior under officer in NCC unit: These days Swarnika is a Senior Under Officer in the NCC Unit of Banasthali University, Jaipur. Swarnika Rathore once again demonstrated her talent as the Commander of the NCC Mounted Troop.

Led the NCC fleet: Swarnika, who won a gold medal in show jumping, a silver medal in dressage and a bronze medal for top score in show jumping, led the NCC fleet in the rally by holding the sword as the commander of the mounted troop for the second time. This achievement has once again proved Swarnika’s talent and leadership abilities.

Received primary education from Chaukodi: Let us tell you that Swarnika’s primary education i.e. up to 8th standard was from Himalaya Inter College, Chaukodi. Swarnika Rathore is the daughter of Manoj Rathore, a prominent businessman of Berinag. His mother Hemlata Rathore is a teacher. Swarnika’s uncle Sudhir Rathore is a senior journalist of Berinag. His grandfather Dan Singh Rathore has been a prominent state agitator of Uttarakhand.

Proud of Swarnika’s achievement: MLA Fakir Ram Tamta, Municipal President Hema Pant, Block Chief Sangeeta Chanyal, Trade Union President Rajesh Rawat, National Youth Award winner Pradeep Mehra, Himalaya Inter College Chaukodi Principal Devbala Bisht etc. have expressed happiness over this achievement of Swarnika.

The flag was hoisted in 2025 also: Last year too, Swarnika had displayed tremendous courage and skill in the annual testing ceremony of 1 Raj R&V Skin NCC Unit located at the Veterinary College, Bikaner. In which he made his name famous by participating in activities like horse riding, jumping and dangerous fire jumping.
