Confluence of Vedas, devotion and humanity

New Delhi: : The nine-day Ramkatha organized by the famous spiritual guru and strong voice of Sanatan Dharma Morari Bapu at ‘Bharat Mandapam’ in the capital New Delhi came to an end. The story, which ran from January 17 to January 25, was titled ‘Manas Sanatan Dharma’, and concluded on the eve of Republic Day.

Referring to various scriptures including the Vedas, Morari Bapu explained that Sanatan Dharma is the only eternal religion, which cannot be limited to any historical date or period. He said that this religion combines the essence of all spiritual traditions and at its core lies the values of truth, love, compassion and non-violence.

Bapu cautioned that there have been many external attempts to weaken Sanatan Dharma over the centuries, but today the biggest threat comes from internal divisions. He expressed concern over those sects which are propagating false narratives by establishing, promoting imaginary deities (who have no mention in Sanatan) and making unauthorized changes (kshepak) in the sacred texts.

Bapu said in clear words, “Even if such sects get the support of other powerful ‘Gadis’, ‘Vyas Peeth’ will never recognize them. Vyas Peeth has been steadfast since time immemorial towards the real values of Sanatan Dharma, the scriptures and the worshipable deities like Lord Rama, Krishna, Shiva and Maa Durga.”

Authentic texts of Sanatan Dharma
Through Ramkatha, Pujya Morari Bapu clarified that the tradition of Sanatan Dharma starts from the Vedas and goes to the Upanishads, Puranas and Bhagavad Geeta. He stressed that ‘Ramcharitmanas’ written by Goswami Tulsidas is the last authentic text of this continuity. Any book written after this cannot be considered a part of the original texts of Sanatan Dharma.

Bapu poetically defined the symbols of Sanatan Dharma, saying that its flow is Ganga, the mountain is Kailash, the renewable tree is Banyan tree, the scripture is Veda, the chakra is Sudarshan, coolness is the moon and light is Lord Surya himself.
Manas Sanatan Dharma Ramkatha was inaugurated by Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and the concluding session was addressed by former President Ramnath Kovind. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also participated in the story and took a pledge in front of Bapu to completely clean the Yamuna River. On the first day of the story, Bapu went to Rajghat and paid tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

Founder of World Peace Center and famous Jain spiritual guru Acharya Lokesh Muni was the organizer of this Ramkatha. Bapu not only guided through the story, but also provided financial support for the construction of the World Peace Center by personally contributing and inspiring his followers (whom he called ‘Pushpa’).

On the last day of the Katha, various religious leaders participated and praised the generosity of Sanatan Dharma and the inclusive spirit of Indian democracy.

‘Manas Sanatan Dharma’ was the 971st Ramkatha of Morari Bapu. It is noteworthy that Bapu does not take any remuneration for the story. The Katha and the Prasad (food) served there is completely free for all.

This Ram Yatra, rooted in the values of truth, love and compassion, continues with the mission of strengthening Sanatan Dharma and spreading the light of Ramcharitmanas to the masses.
