Mathura. Passengers standing after alighting from a sleeper bus on Yamuna Expressway in Mathura were crushed by a speeding container. 6 died on the spot in the accident. One is seriously injured. The incident occurred at 2.45 am on Saturday. According to the information, the bus was going from Nagloi in Delhi to Rasulabad in Kanpur Dehat. On the way, some passengers asked the driver to stop the bus for bathroom. The driver stopped the bus on the way instead of in the green zone. Some passengers got down from the bus and stood down, when the container coming from behind hit the bus first. Then trampled the passengers. The driver of the container fled from the spot. There was screaming after the accident. Dead bodies were scattered on the highway. The faces of some passengers were badly bruised. This made it difficult to identify them. The family members identified him by his sweater and clothes. There was a long traffic jam at the spot. Passersby informed the police. The police took the injured to the nearest hospital in an ambulance. The bodies were sent for postmortem.
