Humayun Kabir’s open challenge to CM Yogi, said – will build Babri Masjid in Bengal

Kolkata. Before the West Bengal elections, the political discussion regarding Babri Mosque has intensified. Now Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also entered this matter. After CM Yogi’s statement regarding Babri Masjid, former Trinamool Congress leader and Janata Unnayan Party chief Humayun Kabir has hit back.

On Tuesday, Humayun Kabir said that he will definitely build a mosque replica of Babri Masjid in Murshidabad and no one can stop it. He directly challenged and said, “I will build a mosque, if you can stop me then stop me.”

What did Humayun Kabir say?
While talking to the media, Humayun said that this is not Lucknow or Ayodhya, this is Bengal and Mamata Banerjee is ruling here. According to the Indian Constitution, Muslims also have every right to build a mosque, just like others build a temple or church. He told that he had laid the foundation of the mosque on 6 December 2025, the anniversary of the demolition of the Babri structure, and the construction work would start from 11 February 2026.
Humayun said that around 1200 people will start the construction work at 10 am while reciting the Quran. He again challenged Yogi that if he has to be stopped then he should do it, but he is not afraid of anyone and will not come under any pressure.

What did Yogi Adityanath say?
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had earlier said that ‘doomsday’ will never come and the Babri structure will never be rebuilt. In Barabanki, he said, “We had said that Ramlala, we will come and build the temple there. The temple has been built. Those who are dreaming of the coming of doomsday, they will rot like this.”

Yogi further said that the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya became possible after 500 years. Taking aim at the opposition parties, he said that Ram is remembered in times of crisis and forgotten at other times, hence his chance will never come now.
