Former Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim is once again in the headlines. Recently, after the announcement of his second marriage, his ex-wife Sania Ashfaq has reacted sharply on social media, calling him a ‘cheater’ and a ‘home breaker’. This controversy came to light when Imad made public the information about his marriage with social media influencer Naila Raza. Even before this, Sania has been cheated by another Pakistani cricketer. Yes…we are talking about Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik. The couple had confirmed their separation in 2024. Meaning two Sania… and two Pakistani cricketers separated and there was only one reason – entry of another woman in the cricketer’s life! Imad and Sania were married in 2019 and got divorced in December 2025. Both have three children. These include a daughter (born 2021) and two sons. The youngest among them is just seven months old. Imad’s second marriage, just two months after the divorce, further fueled the controversy.
Imad’s statement: ‘It was the most difficult period’
Imad Wasim issued a brief statement on Instagram, writing, ‘I went through the most difficult phase of my life, when my marriage could not succeed, but the same chapter gave me the biggest blessings of my life, my children. I love him very much and this love will never change. He further admitted, ‘I held on to hope longer than necessary and regret the decisions I made. Because of my silence, an innocent person had to face criticism, the responsibility for which I take sincerely.
