
Today in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Jagdish Deora presented the budget for the year 2026-27 in the House. During this time, the Finance Minister has made a big announcement for the welfare of women of Madhya Pradesh. The Finance Minister has announced to increase the amount of Ladli Lakshmi Scheme along with Ladli Brahmin Scheme.
Provision of more than Rs 1800 crore for Ladli Lakshmi Scheme
For the welfare of women, the government has so far benefited 52 lakh 29 thousand girls under the Ladli Lakshmi Yojana in the budget. The Finance Minister said that in this budget also a provision of more than Rs 1,800 crore has been made for Ladli Lakshmi Scheme. While presenting the budget, Jagdish Deora said that 52 lakh 29 thousand girls have been benefited under Ladli Lakshmi Yojana 2.0. Whereas 14 lakh 12 thousand have been given scholarship. A provision of Rs 1800 crore has been made for this.
Total Rs 1.27 lakh crore for women welfare
While presenting the budget of 2026-27 in the Assembly, Finance Minister Jagdish Deora said that a total provision of Rs 1 lakh 27 thousand 555 crore has been made for various women welfare schemes in the state. In the state, 1 crore 25 lakh women are registered under Ladli Brahmin Yojana and a provision of Rs 23 thousand 882 crore has been made in this budget. The Finance Minister has announced in the budget that Rs 23 thousand 747 crore has been given for the health sector. In the budget, the state government has also announced to provide free milk under the new scheme for children up to class 8th. Along with this, the Finance Minister said that tetra pack milk will be given to children in mid-day meal and Anganwadi.
Rs 1,335 crore for labor department
Finance Minister Jagdish Deora said during the budget that the government has made a provision of Rs 13.35 crore for the Labor Department for the upcoming financial year. The main objective of this budget is to connect laborers, unorganized sector workers and poor class people with social security. The Finance Minister said that a budget of Rs 815 crore has been fixed for the Welfare Department. A budget provision of Rs 793 crore has been made for the development of 11,277 villages in tribal areas.
