After the cancellation of this tariff, President Donald Trump announced a 10 percent tariff on all countries under another rule. In such a situation, the question was arising whether the products of countries like India, which have agreed on a trade deal with America, will get a place in this new tariff or not. But, after some time, the US administration clarified that now a uniform 10 percent tariff will be imposed on all the countries that have made a trade deal or have agreed to it. Earlier, under the trade deal, America had said to impose 18 percent tariff on Indian products.

Under the trade deal, America had imposed 15 percent tariff on EU, 15 percent on Japan, 10 percent on Britain and 18 percent on India. America has made a trade deal with all these countries or unions or a deal has been agreed upon. But, now after the decision of the US Supreme Court, Donald Trump’s new order has said 10 percent tariff on all countries. In such a situation, Vietnam is going to get the most benefit from this order, which had to pay 20 percent tariff. Tariff against Indian products has come down from 18 to 10 percent.
However, earlier during his comment on the Supreme Court’s decision, Donald Trump had said that there is a trade deal with India and 18 percent tariff will continue to be imposed on its products. But, officials have clarified that the new order with 10 percent tariff will apply to all countries. This also includes those countries with which we have trade deals.
