Ahmedabad The uproar during the Global Artificial Intelligence Summit organized at Bharat Mandapam in the country’s capital Delhi has heated up the political atmosphere. Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi fiercely targeted the opposition on this incident. He said that at a time when the entire world is proud of India’s technological progress, such incidents harm the country’s global image. Harsh Sanghvi alleged that at the behest of Rahul Gandhi, some anti-social elements entered the summit. He claimed that Youth Congress workers protested by removing their shirts, which he termed as extremely shameful.
The Deputy Chief Minister said, “Lakhs of youth like me are deeply saddened by this incident. When India is showing direction to the world, it is unfortunate to spread such anarchy in our own country.” He expressed concern that neighboring countries like Pakistan and China can take advantage of such incidents. After the videos of protests went viral on social media, anti-India elements are getting an opportunity to defame the country. Sanghvi clearly said that this act of the opposition is against the national interest and it is only an attempt to gain cheap popularity.
It is noteworthy that after this sudden uproar during the AI Summit on Friday, Delhi Police took immediate action. So far four main accused have been arrested on charges of security breach and indecent behaviour. Investigation into the matter is ongoing whether this demonstration was pre-planned.
