The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced the full schedule of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. This tournament, to be held in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5, is being considered a historic milestone for women’s cricket. The special thing is that the teams of India and Pakistan will face each other in the group stage itself, which is expected to give a tremendous start to the tournament. The match between India and Pakistan will be played on June 14 at Edgbaston.
India-Pakistan in same group
Group-1 is being considered as ‘Group of Death’, where the traditional rivalry of India-Pakistan along with the existing giant teams will also be seen.
Group 1: Australia, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Netherlands.
Group 2: West Indies, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland.

The opening match of the tournament will be played between England and Sri Lanka at Edgbaston on 12 June. The match between England and West Indies will be played at Lord’s on June 24, while England and New Zealand will face each other at The Oval on June 27.
Netherlands’ historic debut
Netherlands is participating in the Women’s T20 World Cup for the first time. This team, adorned with young players, will test itself against legendary teams like India and Australia. In this tournament, there will be a total of five triple headers i.e. three matches in a day and five double headers i.e. two matches in a day.
