The fifth and final day of Ranji Trophy final play continues between Jammu and Kashmir and Karnataka. Kamran Iqbal and Sahil Lotra are present at the crease from Jammu and Kashmir. Iqbal has scored a century and his partnership with Sahil also continues. Jammu and Kashmir’s lead has crossed 500 runs. Jammu and Kashmir advanced the second innings by 186 runs for four wickets on the fifth day.

In reply to Jammu and Kashmir’s first innings score of 584 runs, Karnataka was all out for 293 runs. Jammu and Kashmir had decided not to follow on despite gaining a lead of 291 runs in the first innings. If the result of the match is not known by the end of today’s play, then Jammu and Kashmir will win the match on the basis of lead in the first innings. In this way the team can win the Ranji Trophy title for the first time.
