Priyanka Gandhi said on Iran-Israel tension – today there is need for peace, not war.

Appeal to the government for the safe return of stranded Indian citizens

New Delhi. Senior Congress leader and MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has termed the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the subsequent joint attacks on Iran by America and Israel as disgusting. He said in a post on social media platform
Quoting Mahatma Gandhi’s statement, Priyanka Gandhi said, an eye for an eye blinds the whole world, and what the world needs today is not unnecessary wars but peace. He appealed to the Government of India to make every possible effort to safely bring back all Indian citizens stranded in the affected countries.
Before MP Priyanka Gandhi’s statement, Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh also reacted to the assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei. Singh described it as the end of an era and highlighted the historical relations between India and Iran. He said that Iran has always supported India and the Indian government should take a clear stand during the crisis. Here it seems as if India is losing one of its good friends.

Here Sanjay Singh said that India has lost a trusted friend and paid tribute to Khamenei. Recalling India-Iran’s historical relations, he said Iran always supported Pakistan and provided energy security to India.
Sanjay Singh further wrote in his post that in this hour of crisis, the Indian government should make its stand clear, otherwise the atrocities of the global dictator America can spread all over the world.
