21 illegal Bangladeshis sent back to their country

The Assam government sent back 21 Bangladeshi nationals living illegally in the state to their country early on Sunday. Giving information, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the push back action was taken from Shribhoomi district of the state at around 12:30 in the night. Due to vigilant eyes and prompt action, illegal immigrants were sent back to their country, he wrote in a post on social media. When most people were sleeping, our police were performing their duty in the national interest. If duty calls, sleep can wait. Praising the promptness of Sribhoomi Police, he said that the campaign against illegal infiltration will continue. The Chief Minister also shared pictures related to this, in which at least seven children who were among the illegal immigrants are also seen. It is noteworthy that the Assam government is adopting a strict stance against illegal infiltration from Bangladesh. From time to time, the state government is conducting campaigns in the border areas to identify people living illegally and sending them across the border.
