Alexander Stubb reached India, Narendra Modi said – relations will reach new heights

New Delhi. Finnish President Alexander Stubb reached India on Wednesday morning. During this, President Stubb was formally welcomed and given a guard of honour. Minister of State for External Affairs K.V. at the airport. Singh welcomed him.

Prime Minister Modi wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, ‘Welcome to India, President Alexander Stubb. I completely agree with you. Your visit will take the relations between India and Finland to new heights. I look forward to our meeting tomorrow and your keynote address at Raisina Dialogue 2026.”

The Prime Minister said this in response to President Stubb’s post in which he had given information about his visit to India. The President of Finland had written on ‘X’, “I will meet the President and Prime Minister of India as well as other leaders. This visit will further strengthen relations between Finland and India. This also includes the field of trade.”

President Stubb will be the chief guest and keynote speaker at the Raisina Dialogue 2026. Apart from this, he will have a special conversation with Prime Minister Modi. During this, there will be discussion on strengthening the relations between the two countries. Besides, they will also talk about regional and global issues of mutual interest. The purpose of this visit is to further increase cooperation between the two countries.
