In a major political upheaval on the day of Holi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has agreed to step down from the post of CM. He will go to Rajya Sabha. The political entry of his son Nishant has also been confirmed. Nishant will make political entry as Deputy CM of Bihar. JDU sources say that Nishant Kumar will formally take membership of Janata Dal Unite today. Nishant, who has a simple and straightforward nature, is rarely seen in public. Even if they go somewhere, they go anywhere without any fanfare. He always kept himself away from the activities of the Chief Minister or the government.
Nishant lives a low profile life
Like his father Nitish Kumar, Nishant has also studied engineering. He has completed his engineering studies from Birla Institute of Technology (BIT Mesra), Ranchi. He has graduated in Software Engineering. Nishant, who stays away from limelight, lives a low profile life but does not shy away from discussing his father’s achievements. They don’t tell anything about themselves.
No one knew for two years that he is the CM’s son.
For the first two years of Nishant’s studies at BIT, even his friends did not know that he was the son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Nishant never discussed with anyone even himself that I am the son of the Chief Minister of Bihar. Due to his low profile, even his friends who studied with him could not understand. He should stay away from politics during his studies. People close to the family say they are spiritual. He has great faith in religion. He often reads books related to Osho, socialism, contemporary Bihar, RSS and religious scriptures like Srimad Bhagvad Gita. Nitish Kumar also read Osho after completing his engineering studies, Nishant also reads Indian and foreign mystical literature.
Nishant can take membership of JDU today
Bihar government minister Jama Khan said on Wednesday that Nishant Kumar will join JDU on Thursday. Whereas Nitish Kumar will file his nomination for Rajya Sabha on Thursday itself. On the question related to this, JDU leader and minister Vijay Chaudhary said to the journalists on Wednesday that there is a discussion going on about his going to Rajya Sabha. But, the final decision has to be taken by Nitish Kumar only. Apart from Nitish Kumar, BJP’s National President Nitin Naveen, RLMO President Upendra Kushwaha, BJP’s Shivesh Ram will also file nomination from the NDA folder on Thursday. There is discussion that Ramnath Thakur from JDU can also file nomination. It is the last day for nomination. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is coming to Patna today on the occasion of nomination.
