Patna. The politics of Bihar has once again surprised everyone. Nitish Kumar, who took oath as CM after a landslide victory in the assembly elections, is now preparing to leave the post of Chief Minister and go to Rajya Sabha. He can file nomination for Rajya Sabha on Thursday 5th March. Ever since the news of Nitish Kumar going to Rajya Sabha came to light, the discussion about the new CM face has intensified in political circles. Bihar may soon get a new CM face if Nitish Kumar goes to Rajya Sabha.
Can file nomination for Rajya Sabha
According to political sources and BJP-JDU leaders, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar can file his nomination for Rajya Sabha today. The Union Home Minister can come to Patna today i.e. on Thursday to participate in the nomination of BJP National President Nitin Nabin. During this time, an official announcement can also be made regarding the new future of Nitish Kumar. At present, this has not been officially confirmed in any way, but if sources are to be believed, Nitish Kumar has signed the nomination papers.
Who is the next CM of Bihar?
After Nitish Kumar’s resignation from the post of CM, the biggest topic of discussion is who will be in charge of Bihar. According to sources, this time the strong contender for the post of Chief Minister in Bihar can be from BJP only. Many names are coming forward for CM face. In this race, the names of both Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha are emerging loudly. Apart from this, names like Dilip Jaiswal, BJP MLA from Digha Sanjeev Chaurasia are also in discussion. Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai is also considered a big contender as a ‘dark horse’ in this race for CM face. Along with this, the names of Vijay Chaudhary and Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar are coming out prominently in the race for Deputy Chief Minister.
Political equation of Bihar
After Nitish Kumar goes to Rajya Sabha, the role of BJP and JDU in Bihar can completely change. At present, JDU is in command of power in the current NDA government. In this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Ministers are BJP’s Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha. If political experts are to be believed, once Nitish Kumar goes to Rajya Sabha, the command of power will be in the hands of BJP instead of JDU. At the same time, if a BJP leader becomes the CM, two Deputy Chief Ministers can be made from JDU quota in the new government.
