New Delhi. There were horrific incidents of fire in Narela Industrial Area of Delhi on Monday, the day of Diwali. Officials said that a catastrophic fire was reported in a shoe factory on Monday evening. Later, another factory adjacent to this factory also started burning in the fire. The incident took place in Narela DSIIDC industrial area. 16 fire tenders were sent to the spot to extinguish the fire. In Gurugram too, a warehouse was burnt to ashes in the evening.
The cardboard factory was also destroyed.
According to the fire department, the work of extinguishing the fire was started immediately after receiving the information. Recently, a cardboard manufacturing factory in Phase 2 of Bhorgarh Industrial Area of Narela, Delhi was also destroyed in a fire.
Warehouse burnt to ashes in Gurugram
A massive fire broke out in a warehouse in Rathiwas village of Gurugram on Monday evening. About 6 fire engines reached the spot to extinguish the fire.
Incidents of fire increase
The fire department is on high alert as incidents of fire frequently increase in the national capital during Diwali. The fire department has deployed about 321 vehicles at all 66 fire stations in the capital. An official said that on the day of Diwali in Delhi, fire department teams will patrol 24 hours.

Big fire engines will be parked in crowded areas. Fire vehicles will be parked in crowded areas of the national capital like South Extension, Lajpat Nagar, Tilak Nagar, Lal Kuan, Lahori Gate, Mangolpuri, Mahipalpur Chowk, Sangam Vihar, Mundka, Jaipur Golden Hospital, New Ashok Nagar, Yamuna Vihar and Radha Soami Satsang (Bhati Mine).
Safety of narrow streets handed over to QRV
QRVs will be deployed to protect the narrow streets. QRVs can reach within the street immediately. Small quick response units will be deployed in tight areas like Najafgarh Road, Vikaspuri, Maidangarhi, Badli Industrial Area, Burari, Adarsh Nagar, Khari Baoli, Rani Bagh, Paharganj, Alipur, Sadar Bazaar, Nangloi and Palam Roundabout, which can reach any street immediately.
