Kolkata. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday targeted President Draupadi Murmu for questioning the pace of development of tribals in the state. Accused him of doing politics before the assembly elections at the behest of BJP.
Reacting sharply to the comments made by Murmu during his visit to North Bengal, Banerjee alleged that the BJP was misusing the President’s office to defame the state government. The Chief Minister said at a protest site in Kolkata that the BJP has stooped so low that it is using President Draupadi Murmu to defame the state. The information given to him regarding the absence of state representatives at the President’s event was incorrect.
