Since then, speculations are being made that after becoming a Rajya Sabha MP, he may resign from the post of Chief Minister. According to sources, Bharatiya Janata Party has started discussions on the names of possible Chief Minister. At present, Samrat Chaudhary is being considered as the main contender in this race. He is currently the Deputy CM in Bihar government and is also handling the Home department, which was earlier held by Nitish Kumar. Apart from this, he belongs to the backward class Kushwaha caste, due to which he is considered strong in terms of social equations. Another name in the race for the post of Chief Minister is that of Union Minister Nityanand Rai. He is considered the main Yadav face of BJP. However, the party leadership can also bring in a new face, as it has done in many states in recent years. Here, an important decision has been taken in the JDU meeting. In the meeting, a consensus was also reached regarding the entry of Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar into politics. Due to this, new equations are expected to be created in the politics of the state. Elections for five Rajya Sabha seats in Bihar are to be held on March 16. The tenure of the new members will begin after the tenure of the existing MPs ends in April. In such a situation, it will become clear in the coming days who will be the next Chief Minister of Bihar.
