
New Delhi. A big explosion has occurred near Red Fort metro station in Delhi. The explosion took place in a parked car. In which one person has died, while many people have been seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to Loknayak Hospital. After the explosion, a massive fire broke out in the car. Two more cars parked nearby were burnt to ashes. After this there is panic in the area.
7 fire engines started extinguishing the fire
Giving information, Delhi Fire Service said that initial investigation by Delhi Police shows that the explosion took place in a parked vehicle. Top officials have reached the spot. So far, seven fire brigade vehicles have been deployed to control the situation. However, the reason for the blast has not been clear yet.
Explosion occurred near gate number one
According to the information, a car exploded near Gate No. 1 of Red Fort metro station. After which 3 to 4 vehicles also caught fire and were damaged. The extent of the loss has not yet been estimated. After the blast, high alert has been issued in Delhi. It is being told that many people have been seriously injured in the blast. The explosion was so strong that the doors and windows of nearby shops were broken.
‘It felt like we would all be killed’
Local resident Rajdhar Pandey said, ‘I live nearby. I saw the flames from my house and then came down to see what happened, then there was a huge explosion. Another eyewitness said, ‘I have never heard such a loud explosion in my life. I fell three times because of the explosion. It felt as if we would all die.
