After Rafale, India will buy missiles for S-400, deal done with Russia, time was made for Pakistan in Op Sindoor

S-400 Deal: The Defense Ministry has taken a big decision on Thursday. To increase the strength of the Indian Army, approval has been given to purchase 288 missiles for the S-400 air defense system from Russia. Apart from this, approval has been given to purchase 114 fighter aircraft from France and 6 maritime surveillance aircraft from America. In this meeting of the Defense Ministry, defense proposals worth about Rs 3 lakh 60 thousand crores have been approved. Now the committee led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give the final approval. The special thing is that most of the weapons in this have been emphasized on ‘Made in India’. The world saw the power of S-400 during Operation Sindoor. During this period, the already existing missiles were spent, due to which the army’s stock decreased. To fulfill this shortage, the Defense Ministry has approved the purchase of 288 missiles, which will cost approximately Rs 10 thousand crores. The missiles approved for purchase by the Defense Ministry include 120 short-range and 168 long-range missiles. Work is underway on the process of purchasing these very soon. So that the Indian Army remains ready with full strength.

Op showed charm in vermilion

With this deal, the remaining two S-400 squads from Russia are going to arrive in the months of June and November. In the missile deal that was signed in the Defense Ministry meeting on Thursday, missiles with range of 40 km, 150 km, 200 km and 400 km will be purchased for S-400. These missiles are so powerful that they will destroy their enemies from the ground to the air. These missiles were used during the recent Operation Sindoor, in which the Army penetrated 314 kilometers inside Pakistan and targeted it.

Defense proposal worth Rs 3 lakh 60 thousand crore approved

Apart from missiles for S-400, DAC on Thursday approved the purchase of 114 additional Rafales worth approximately Rs 3 lakh 25 thousand crores. Currently India has only 36 Rafale. The deal for the six maritime surveillance aircraft that has been approved for purchase from America is worth around Rs 30 thousand crores. That means, overall defense proposals worth Rs 3 lakh 60 thousand crore have been approved.
