Severe cold and dense fog in North India have put a brake on the pace. Air traffic is being badly affected due to low visibility. In view of this, the country’s largest airline Indigo has issued an important warning and advisory for its passengers for Sunday. IndiGo airline has informed passengers through social media and official channels that flights may be affected due to bad weather. The airline has said that due to low visibility, landing and takeoff of aircraft will not be possible due to which flights may be delayed or even cancelled.
Indigo teams are constantly monitoring the weather. In case of any change, passengers will be informed through SMS on their registered mobile number. Passengers have been advised to check the latest status of their flight by visiting the link before leaving home for the airport. The airline has made special arrangements for those passengers whose flights have been affected. Passengers can reschedule their flights without any additional charges. If passengers do not wish to travel, they can apply for a refund through the website. The airline has requested passengers to maintain patience and cooperation. Due to smog and pollution, not only IndiGo but the entire aviation sector is affected. On Saturday, 66 flights were canceled from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport due to low visibility. 4 flights from Srinagar and 3 flights from Amritsar-Delhi route lost their lives due to bad weather.
