In which he told that due to the way he handled his sitar in the Air India flight, it broke. Anushka Shankar also shared a video of a broken sitar on her official Instagram account. Also expressed displeasure over the poor service of the airline.

Posting a video of her sitar, Anushka said, “I am deeply saddened and truly disturbed by what Air India did to my sitar. How could such damage happen without deliberate neglect? It’s even sadder because it’s been a long time since I’ve flown with Air India, and it feels like an Indian instrument can’t be safe with them – after all, I’ve flown thousands of flights with other airlines and not a single peg has gone out of tune.”

The price of a normal, good quality professional sitar can range from ₹20,000 to ₹1,50,000 or even more.
