Mumbai: There was a stir after a bag was found in a suspicious condition outside the house of Maharashtra government minister Nitish Rane. As soon as the information was received, the police team immediately reached the spot and started investigation. With the help of CCTV, the police found the owner of the bag. When we talked to him, something different was revealed. The owner of the bag turned out to be a 40-year-old American citizen, who had also left a note along with his bag. When the police found the owner of the bag, talked to him and declared the area safe.

This incident happened on Sunday morning. An American citizen left an abandoned bag outside the bungalow of Maharashtra government minister Nitish Rane near Marine Drive in South Mumbai. After receiving the information, Mumbai Police and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDDS) also arrived for investigation and cordoned off the area and started investigation. When the bag was opened, everyone was surprised, because nothing suspicious was found in the bag, but shoes, clothes and a note were found inside it. After this the CCTV was scanned so that the owner could be traced and information could be obtained from him as to why he had left the bag.

Left the bag and went to Goa
When the police searched for the young man and interrogated him, he told that he was an American resident, who was staying near Marine Drive. He had a bag and some clothes in it, which he wanted to donate. Therefore, along with clothes and shoes, he had also left a note written in the bag. So that whoever needs it can take it. The note read, “Shoes and clothes are free, anyone can take them.” After this he left for Goa.

Nothing was found in the suspicious bag.
After talking to the American citizen, police officials said that on the basis of CCTV footage, the person keeping the abandoned bag has been identified. No suspicious or objectionable item was found in the bag. The person who kept the bag told that he wanted to donate it to someone, so he left it there. Now the situation is normal.
